Travel Reflection

Geneva has an array of interesting quirks! Many people enjoy the hundreds of varieties of cheese and others the amazing chocolatiers! But it is the Swiss culture, ‘that everything will keep to time’, which draws our attention for this short travel reflection! With centuries of experience in watchmaking, Geneva is certainly the City that runs to the click of their clock. You can trust that the buses, trams and trains will arrive and depart to their precise schedules!

One of our stand out reflections from our 3-day time budget in Geneva is to think about how we as human beings relate to ‘time’. Life moves swiftly, with the high pace of our working lives and the expectations that we each face in multiple directions! Perhaps this Christmas, we can pause to think what is in our lives that can take us beyond time into ‘timelessness’? Why not listen to a Christian worship song and tune your thoughts, perhaps through a breathing exercise, to reflect upon God….

Think about how God’s presence can help you recalibrate within a moment of timelessness.
